Indian Curry and Tandoor Cook

Are you an experienced Indian Cook with a passion for creating flavourful dishes including both curry and tandoori dishes? We are a busy Indian restaurant and takeaway based in heart of Papatoetoe, Auckland. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Indian Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Indian curries and tandoori items in our extensive menu. This is a permanent roles with a minimum of 32 hours working week.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Be able to prepare tasteful Indian curries and tandoori dishes with at least three years’ experience doing the same

·         Accustomed and experienced with traditional Indian cooking practices including marination, perseverance and techniques

·         Must be able to manage the quality of the food and assist with cost savings.

·         Be innovative and suggest changes to the menu

·         Be able to adhere to strict food storage protocols

·         Any other tasks which may be required for the effective running of the business

·         A team player

·         Must be able to work under pressure especially during busy times

·         Be able to work weekend shifts
