Smile Boutique is a modern, Auckland-based dental clinic operated by NewAlign Medical Technology Group Limited. Our clinic is committed to delivering patient-centred care in a professional and welcoming environment.we are now seeking a compassionate and reliable Nursing Aide to join our team.

Position Overview:
This role focuses on assisting patients who require additional support during their dental visits, including those with mobility limitations, cognitive impairments, dental anxiety, or communication challenges. The Nursing Aide will play a key role in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive care environment under the supervision of dental and clinical professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with limited mobility — including elderly patients, wheelchair users, or small children — to safely move into and out of treatment chairs
  • Provide comfort care, such as offering blankets, adjusting seating, and supporting patients who feel unwell or anxious
  • Support communication with patients who may have hearing difficulties, limited English proficiency, or neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Observe and report any changes in a patient’s condition, emotional state, or complaints to senior staff
  • Follow therapy and care plans, such as helping patients with dementia or those on behavioural support routines feel calm and oriented
  • Assist in delivering simple post-treatment instructions or supporting exercises under professional supervision
  • Maintain cleanliness in patient waiting and treatment areas in line with infection control protocols
  • Replenish consumables and ensure the clinic environment remains safe, tidy, and comfortable
  • Provide general assistance to clinical staff, including transporting supplies and non-clinical equipment as required

Minimum Qualification and Experience (must meet at least one of the following):

  • A relevant New Zealand Level 4 qualification in health care, aged care, nursing assistance, dental support, or a closely related field; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field (NZQF Level 7 or above); OR
  • At least two years of relevant full-time work experience as a nursing aide, nurse assistant, caregiver, or dental support worker
