We are seeking experienced carpenters to join our team. The ideal person will work across residential and/or commercial sites, delivering high-quality workmanship in line with the NZ Building Code and Standards.

 

Key Job Duties:

Read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction drawings

Set out, construct, install and repair structures and fixtures

Work on frameworks, walls, floors, roofs, truss, windows, doors, exterior cladding

Formwork and concrete work as required

Measure, cut and assemble materials; select and order timbers and hardware

Inspect and ensure quality and finish meet project requirements

Work effectively with site managers, other trades and apprentices

Maintain a tidy site and follow company health & safety procedures

 

Skill Requirements:

NZ Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4) or overseas equivalent

2+ years’ proven, relevant carpentry experience may substitute above qualification

Able to complete assigned work independently

Able to read drawings, set out accurately and work to tight tolerances

Full NZ driver licence required

Site Safe Certificate and EWP Certificate are required

Good communication, reliability and teamwork

 

The job is minimum 30 hours per week from Monday to Saturday. Pay rate is $30 - $35 depending on experience and ability.
