My Thai Lounge, located in beautiful Queenstown, is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for full-time, long-term positions. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of related work experience, OR

  • At least a related NZ Register Certificate Level 4 qualification

  • Must have a Certification in food hygiene and handling (e.g., Food Safety Supervisor Certificate)

  • Must have work experience in the customer service field

  • Must have knowledge of Thai food ingredients, as we take food allergies seriously

 

Job Descriptions

  • Cook and prepare dishes in line with menu guidelines and specific dietary needs.

  • Ensure meals are flavourful, well-presented, and meet quality expectations.

  • Use kitchen appliances correctly and responsibly.

  • Keep food prep areas clean and sanitary at all times.

  • Oversee food supplies and storage, making sure items are rotated properly.

  • Support the creation of menus and help develop new recipes.

  • Follow all regulations related to food safety, hygiene, and workplace health.

  • Cooperate effectively with kitchen team members and offer support or leadership as needed.

Other Details

  • This is a full-time and permanent position

  • The wage is $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, with weekly payments

  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

  • You will be working at 69 Beach Street, Queenstown

  • You will work according to a roaster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (maximum of 48 hours)
