Plasterer – H C Contracting Limited
Location: Canterbury Region
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (minimum 30 hours/week)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (occasional Saturdays)

H C Contracting Limited is seeking skilled and motivated Plasterers to join our team for ongoing residential and commercial projects across the Canterbury region. We are committed to delivering high-quality finishing work and seek candidates with proven experience or relevant qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applying coats of plaster to interior walls, ceilings, and partitions of buildings

  • Spreading, levelling, and smoothing plaster using trowels, brushes, and spraying equipment

  • Applying decorative and protective coverings of plaster, cement, and similar materials to the interiors and exteriors of structures

  • Fixing precast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres, and other plaster fittings

  • Creating decorative textures and effects using various plastering techniques

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications

  • Ensuring surfaces are well-prepared and finished to the required standard

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience or

  • A New Zealand Register Level 4 or higher qualification in a relevant field

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good understanding of health and safety practices on-site
