Tasks & responsibilities

·      Install, repair, and replace upholstery on seats, door panels, headliners, and other interior components of vehicles.

·      Measure and cut materials such as fabric, vinyl, and leather according to specific requirements.

·      Sew and stitch fabrics using industrial sewing machines or hand techniques, ensuring strong and aesthetically pleasing seams.

·      Remove and reinstall vehicle interiors without causing damage to existing parts.

·      Conduct inspections of installed trim work to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.

·      Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety protocols.

·      Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to interior trim and upholstery.

·      Communicate effectively with customers and supervisors regarding project requirements and timelines.

 

What do you need

·      Have at least 2 years’ work experience in the same field/industry, OR

·      Have a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent

·      Good eye for detail and an ability to learn fast

·      A "can-do" attitude

·      Willingness to work hard
