Ari HVAC Design & Drafting Services Limited is based in Auckland and needs an experienced HVAC Installer to install, service, repair and maintain commercial and residential HVAC systems throughout the Auckland and Waikato Region. 

This is a full-time on-site role for a HVAC Installer located in Auckland. The HVAC Installer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Daily tasks include troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC system issues, performing preventive maintenance, ensuring customer satisfaction, and adhering to EPA regulations and safety standards. Additionally, the HVAC Installer will collaborate with other team members and provide excellent service to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC systems.

Hours of Work – 30 to 40 per week (Rotating Roster including week ends)

Duties:

  • HAVC Systems installation works

  • Installing mounting brackets and sheetmetal ducting; cutting, bending, and threading piping.

  • Installing and repairing compressors, motors, condensers, copper lines for gas, refrigerant, compressed air and oil.

  • Bolting, soldering, riveting, welding and brazing pipes to connect equipment.

  • Filling systems with gas or fluid to check for leaks.

  • Testing systems, checking mechanisms and making adjustments, if necessary.

  • Maintaining HVAC systems checking for faults, repairing and replacing defective components.

  • Adjusting controls and reassembling systems.

  • Communicating at all levels within the company, including suppliers, staff and customers.

  • Displaying strong initiative and problem-solving skills.

  • Working independently and as part of a team.

  • Adhering to the Employer’s Health & Safety policy and procedures when working in the workshop and on site.

Rate of Pay - $30 to $40 per hour, for normal hours and for overtime hours.

Required: Relevant experience as Air Conditioning Technician.

Desirable: Trade certificate in HVAC (Air Conditioning or refrigeration), clean driver’s licence, Refrigerant Handling Licence, Site Safe Passport.
