4 Hearts Homes Ltd is seeking a bookkeeper to join the team to ensure smooth financial operation of the company. 

 

Description of the role:

  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable using manual and computerized systems 
  • Prepare invoices, purchase orders and bank deposits
  • Process payroll, subcontractor payments, and maintain relevant tax records for GST, PAYE, and other tax obligations
  • Track and allocate costs to specific construction projects 
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring for multiple projects
  • Reconcile bank statements and company credit cards; verify transactions and report discrepancies to the Accouting Manager
  • Preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports, bugget reports and cost analyses
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams regarding billing and financial documentation 
  • Ensure compliance with local accouting standards, construction contracts, and regulatory requirements

We prefer the candidates who have:

  • A relevant Level 4 or higher qualification is preferable OR at least two years of relevant working experience 
  • Experience in the construction industry is an advantage but not essential 
  • Strong communication and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks 
  • High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines consistently

  • Competitive pay range: $30-$35 per hour based on skill and experience

  • Guaranteed minimum working hours: 30 hours per week
