Location: Northland Region – Kaitaia
Position: Baker
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hourly Rate: $28–$33 (depending on experience)
Work Hours: Minimum 30 hours/week, Monday to Saturday

Key responsibilities:

  • Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs

  • Preparing and baking doughs for bread and rolls

  • Weighing and measuring ingredients

  • Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, and mixing dough

  • Monitoring oven temperatures and product quality

  • Operating machinery for baking processes

  • Glazing or decorating baked goods

  • Packaging and labeling products

  • Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience

  • Knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation, and food safety

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Strong attention to detail and creativity

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

  • Flexibility to work early mornings or weekends as required
