DALE CONSTRUCTION LIMITED is seeking FIVE skilled and experienced Carpenters to join our construction team in Auckland. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of carpentry tasks on residential and commercial building sites, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship, safety, and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Study drawings, specifications, and work plans to determine materials required, dimensions, and installation procedures.

  • Order and select timbers and materials and prepare accurate layouts.

  • Cut materials, assemble and nail cut and shaped parts as per specifications.

  • Erect framework and roof framing, lay sub-flooring and floorboards, and verify the trueness and alignment of structures.

  • Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and install exterior wall cladding, door frames, and window frames.

  • Assemble prepared timber components to form structures and fittings ready for installation.

  • Cut wood joints using appropriate tools and techniques.

  • May construct and dismantle concrete formwork as required.

  • May carry out repairs or maintenance on existing wooden fittings and structures.

  • May work with plastic laminates, Perspex, and light metals in the course of specialized construction tasks.

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • A relevant diploma or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required.(Either one will do)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of building materials and construction methods
  • Excellent measuring and mathematical skills
  • Understanding of NZ Building Code and Health & Safety regulations
  • Attention to detail and precision
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver’s licence
