🔧 Key Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces by removing old paint, filling holes and cracks, sanding, and cleaning surfaces to ensure a smooth finish.

Apply primers, undercoats, finishing coats, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.

Match paint colors and mix paints to achieve desired shades and textures.

Read and interpret building plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine required materials and painting methods.

Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect adjacent areas from paint splatter or drips.

Perform decorative painting, including texturing, wallpapering, and feature walls when required.

Erect scaffolding and ladders safely as needed for high-area work.

Maintain tools and equipment in clean and safe working order.

Follow workplace health and safety practices at all times.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR a relevant qualification
  • Physically fit and able to work in various weather condition

Remuneration:

  • Hourly wage: NZD $30.00 – $32.00 (commensurate with skills and experience)
  • Overtime and weekend work may be available depending on project needs

Working Hours:
Employees are required to work at least 30 hours per week, maximum 50 hours per week with a rostered schedule between Monday and Sunday.
