FINANCIAL ANALYST (Full time, permanent role)
About the Company:
Roger Dickie NZ (RDNZ) is a family-owned, boutique agri-fund and asset manager, overseeing over $1.85 billion in forest, farm, and property assets through retail, private, and institutional channels in New Zealand. We are a trusted partner to over 3,500 investors with a history in the business of over 50 years.
RDNZ is at an exciting stage with a growing list of local and overseas clients and assets under management. We are now seeking an energetic Financial Analyst to join our growing team and help develop our portfolio management and client reporting processes. You’ll be working closely with senior colleagues with the chance to quickly build your experience and skillset as part of a small but fast paced, dynamic work environment with global connections.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will be financially savvy, equipped with strong data management and analytical skills to help take our portfolio management and reporting systems to a new level. In particular, we’ll be bringing a greater volume of data into a more integrated set of performance monitoring and reporting deliverables for internal and client use.
As a self-starter, you will be highly motivated to make an impact and able to manage your own work stream and milestones efficiently from beginning to end. Importantly, the candidate will be a forward thinker, not bound by the way things are done but how you can apply your sharp insights to make improvements for our investors.
The role will be varied, with the chance to gain exposure to other parts of the business. Beyond your analytics role, you will also be involved in developing marketing presentations and investor reports. The role may also require monitoring and managing the progress of transaction closings and certain property level initiatives (e.g. sub-division approvals, valuations, land use changes, ETS registrations etc) so exposure to, or awareness of, property management concepts and/or the ETS is a plus.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in investment management. You will report and work alongside the Senior Portfolio Manager at Roger Dickie (N.Z.) Limited where you’ll benefit from mentoring and have the chance to build your knowledge and experience of investment and portfolio management.
The role is scoped as a full-time permanent position (40 hours per week), based out of our Parnell office in Auckland, with the successful candidate ordinarily expected to work from the office five days per week. The estimated salary for the position is $70-80,000 per annum.
This Financial Analyst role is expected to be fulfilling for those with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude, as there is ample opportunity to expand your knowledge, expertise, and career within the business across different functions and investments.
