Painter

As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnish and other finishes to a variety of surfaces, ensuring a high-quality, aesthetically pleasing result. You will work with a wide range of projects and will collaboratively within a team.

Painter – Decorator’s responsibilities and duties:

•      Erecting scaffolding or setting up a ladder to perform tasks above ground level. 
•      Maintaining a tidy and professional work area.
•     Interacting with other professional tradespeople and our clients.
•     Preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
•    Selecting and preparing paints to the required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
•     Applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
•     Hanging wallpaper, matching patterns and trimming edges
•    Cleaning equipment and work areas
•    May repair windows and replace glass in wooden and metal frames

We are looking for candidates with the preferred attributes:

•       Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
•       Positive attitude, Building Rapport with Staff, and the ability to thrive under pressure. 
•      Communication skills, Decision making and Handling Issues professionally.
•      3 years relevant experience / and or relevant level 4 qualification or higher
