Position Available: Horticulture Manager

Location: Pātea, South Taranaki District (Taranaki Region)
Payrate: $32 to $34 per hour
Minimum Hours Per Week: 30
Maximum Hours Per Week: 40

Key Requirements:

  • A Level 4 or above qualification in any management or related field, or at least 2 years of experience in any type of management experiecne irrespective of the Industry he or she has worked in.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage crop cycles, coordination of planting, and pest interventions

  • Strong communication and planning ability to supervise teams and liaise with farm leadership

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead horticultural operations, and look after day to day activities.

  • Oversee use and maintenance of crop-production machinery and fixing layouts

  • Supervise, train, and manage seasonal horticulture staff and machinery operators

  • Monitor crop health and productivity, recommend improvements, and manage risk

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

  • Maintain accurate crop and staff performance records and prepare regular site reports

Position Available: Agricultural and Horticultural Mobile Plant Operator

Number of Positions: 3
Location: Pātea, South Taranaki District (Taranaki Region)
Payrate: $28 to $30 per hour
Minimum Hours Per Week: 30
Maximum Hours Per Week: 40

 

Key Requirements:

  • A Level  4 or above relevant qualification, or at least 3 Years or more of experience irrespective of the industry he or she has worked in. Or Valid machinery driver's license.

  • Competence in operating plant such as tractors, sprayers, and cultivation equipment

  • Practical knowledge of safety protocols and equipment checks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate tractors and mobile plant to carry out field cultivation: ploughing, fertilising, spraying, and transport tasks

  • Select and position attachments, adjust machinery settings, and monitor machine performance

  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections and report mechanical issues promptly

  • Transport materials and assist crop teams in load/unload operations

  • Maintain daily logs of machine operation, hours, and task completion

  • Ensure strict adherence to site safety and operational procedures
