Position Available: Painter’s Assistant

Location: Auckland Region
Payrate: $26 Per Hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40

Key Requirements:

• Level 4 or above relevant qualification 

• or

• At least 6 months of relevant experience in painting, construction, trade or renovations field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with painting and renovation tasks across residential or commercial sites

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and protecting adjacent surfaces

• Support painters in applying paint, varnish, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment

• Set up scaffolding, ladders, and drop sheets to protect work areas

• Load and unload paint and materials from vehicles or storage

• Clean equipment and maintain tidy work areas before, during, and after tasks

• Collaborate with team members on multi-trade construction or renovation projects

• Adhere to site health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
