Job Description: 

The role will include, but not limited to:

  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine appropriate materials and installation methods.

  • Use chainsaws to cut materials and employ tools such as drills to assemble and secure components.

  • Repair existing timber structures using equipment like chainsaws and electric planers.

  • Construct the structural framework of buildings and other related structures.

  • Erect framing for walls and roofs, install floorboards, and ensure structural accuracy and alignment.

  • Install fascia boards, roof sheathing, ceiling battens, and fit external cladding, window frames, and door units.

  • Assemble pre-cut timber components to form complete structures and fittings ready for installation.

  • Create wood joints using tools including chainsaws and other carpentry equipment.

  • May be involved in constructing concrete formwork as part of building foundations or structures.

  • May also work with materials such as plastic laminates, Perspex, or various metals depending on the project requirements.

  • Perform other related duties as reasonably assigned by the business owner or company director.

Job pre-requisites: 

  • At least 2 years’ relevant working experience with verified evidence

  • Relevant qualifications are preferable but not a must

  • Physical fitness and could handle the heavy workload

  • Quality workmanship and eye for detail

  • Strong dedication to health and workplace safety。

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with other team members.

  • Strong ability to work independently
