You must have:

·         A minimum of two years relevant experience .

OR

·         Relevant cookery certificate or Chinese cookery occupational certificate

OR

·         Bachelor or above qualification in any field

Responsibilities

Main tasks

l  Preparing authentic and innovative Chinese dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, flavor, and presentation.

l  Menu Planning & Development: Create and refine a diverse menu featuring traditional and contemporary Chinese dishes.

l  Cooking & Preparation: Prepare high-quality meals using authentic Chinese ingredients, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.

l  Ingredient Management: Source, inspect, and manage fresh ingredients to maintain authenticity and quality.

l  Kitchen Operations: Oversee kitchen staff, ensuring proper food handling, safety, and hygiene standards are followed.

l  Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor kitchen staff in Chinese cooking techniques and recipes.

l  Inventory Control: Manage stock levels, minimize waste, and control food costs effectively.

l  Customer Focus: Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure customer satisfaction and adapt dishes to feedback or preferences.

l  Innovation: Introduce new dishes and cooking methods while preserving traditional Chinese culinary values.
