Distinction Whangarei is looking for a Commis Chef to join our team and play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests.

In your role your responsibilies will include

  • Food preparation - assisting in the preparation and cooking of our menus
  • Kitchen operations - support our senior chefs in all kitchen activities including mise en place, food storage, maintaining hygiene standards and cleaning
  • Quality control - follow food safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Flexibility - ensure you maintain efficiency while working on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays

What we need from you

  • Previous experience and suitabile qualifications
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • You must be eligable to work in New Zealand no visa support is available for this position
