Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in petrol and diesel vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance and vehicle servicing
• Carry out WOF-related checks and associated repairs (if certified)
• Use diagnostic tools and manuals to assess and resolve issues
• Replace or repair components such as brakes, suspension, and engines
• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members

Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly wage: $30.00 to $35.00
• Minimum guaranteed hours: 35 hours per week
• Overtime paid at standard hourly rate

Job Location:

• Our workshop is located in Wellington, New Zealand.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years  work experience as a mechanic
• Must have own basic tools or willing to buy within 4 weeks of employment.
• Preference will be given to candidates with relevant automative trade qualification as well
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence
• Valid work visa
• Must be available to work on Saturdays
