We are on the lookout for 2x Beauticians to join our team. This employment is on full time and permanent basis with 30 hours per week guaranteed. They pay for this role ranges between $30-35.00. We operate a small hair and beauty salon in Christchurch, Canterbury. You will be working as per a roster, so availablity throughout the week is a must.

The successful applicants will need to complete the following tasks: 

  1. discussing client needs, analysing skin characteristics and advising on suitable skin care, treatments and application of make-up
  2. applying general cosmetic and corrective make-up
  3. performing manicures and pedicures including decorative nail art, application of artificial nails, nail repair, and other specialised hand and foot treatments
  4. performing facial and body treatments such as massages
  5. treating unwanted hair through waxing, bleaching, tinting, depilation and electrolysis
  6. evaluating beauty therapy processes and products
  7. receiving bookings, arranging appointments and maintaining client records
  8. providing advice on and selling cosmetic products
  9. May assist with hairdressing duties and services where needed

We require the successful applicant to have: 

  • At least two(2) years of relevant experience, or a relevant level 4 qualification
  • A personable attitude, with the ability to make conversation with a wide number of people from a wide number of backgrounds
  • The ability to perform hairdressing services on various differnet types and conditions of hair.
  • The ability to be punctual and have a good attitude is a must.
  • The ability to perform a wide range of beauty treatments.
