We have a vacancy for a Full time Welders in the Auckland region, who are prepared to thrive in a company and contribute to the smooth operation and continued success of our establishment. You will be required to work between minimum 30 hours to maximum 45 hours in a week. Our business operates throughout the week from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. In this role, you may be required to work varying shifts during the week, weekends, and public holidays.

Job Responsibilities 

-        Should be able to Study drawings and specifications to determine suitable material

-        Must have knowledge of method and sequence of operations and machine settings, fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and

subassemblies to produce machines and equipment

-        Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit

using precision measuring instruments, setting guides, Stops and other controls on machine tools, setting up prescribed cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses and setting controls for textile machines

-        Should be able to complete a variety of welding tasks from new fabrication to repairs and re-work

-        Able to weld using arc, mig and oxy acetylene

-        Should have a basic understanding of metallurgy

-        Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machine tools to

-        press, grind, cut, plane and drill metal.

-        Cutting, threading, bending an installing hydraulic pneumatic pipes and lines

-        May erect machines and equipment on site

-        Finish and polish welds are required.

-        Overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment

Key requirements

 

ü  To be successful you must have at least 2 years of experience in relevant role or Level 4 Diploma relevant qualification

ü  Must be physical fit, reliable and punctual

ü  Must be able to show initiative

ü  Be able to work well in a team environment

ü  A positive attitude and a great work ethic

ü  Ensuring that safety and environmental rules

ü  Clean Character Background

 

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $30 per hour to $35 per hour.
