As an IT Hardware Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing mobile phones and laptops brought to our centre by customers. Your expertise in handling various hardware and software issues will ensure that our clients' devices are restored to optimal functionality.
Responsibilities:
Device Diagnosis: Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of mobile phones and laptops to identify the root cause of issues reported by customers.
Repair and Maintenance: Perform skilled repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to screen replacements, battery replacements, software updates, and hardware upgrades.
Troubleshooting: Effectively troubleshoot complex technical problems, both hardware and software-related, to determine the best course of action for repair.
Quality Control: Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standards, meeting quality assurance guidelines set by the company.
Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, providing them with regular updates on the repair process and addressing any questions or concerns.
Parts and Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of parts used for repairs, and keep track of inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of essential components.
Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest technological advancements, software updates, and repair techniques in the mobile phone and laptop industry.
Health and Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling delicate electronic components, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Job requirements:
At least 3 years experience in diagnosing and repairing computers, laptops, and mobile phones, with a strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients effectively and provide clear explanations of repair processes.
Meticulous attention to detail when performing repairs and conducting diagnostics to ensure accurate results.
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
Ability to adapt to different device models and brands, as well as keep pace with changing technologies.
Efficiently manage repair queues and meet repair deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve shared goals and provide support when necessary.
Location Auckland
Positions available 2
Employment is permanent and for a minimum of 32hrs a week
Shifts are between 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday
Pay rate offered is $32 to $34 per hour depending on experience
Applicants must be able to work weekends and public holidays
