Relevant experience of one year or a relevant qualification

The duties of this position are:     

  •   Negotiate contracts with third parties for upcoming projects and/or services.

-          Obtain details of projects, including measurements and specifications for upcoming fencing plans.

-          Ensuring worksites are prepared for upcoming projects by digging holes and trenches the appropriate areas.

-          Carrying out site inspections to ascertain any defects in the surface or soil which may impact the installation of fences.

-          Measure dimensions of the sites prior to installation of fences.

-          Pour concrete around bases of the posts

-          Carrying out repair work around defective or damaged fences as and when required

-          Procure materials and equipment for the upcoming project(s)

-          Prepare reports to monitor progress on various projects.

  • Laying out fence lines and marking positions for post holes

- Lifting and positioning fence posts in holes and -securing posts with concrete, stone fill and soil

- Forming fence frames; constructing and attaching gates to fences

-Stretching materials between fence posts

-Constructing wooden paling, fibre-cement and metal fences

-Repairing and demolishing existing fences.

Applicant must be able to do flexible working hours, including weekends and public holidays as the role requires.

Salary range for the position is $30.00- $35.00 per hour, depending on experience
