We are looking for an experienced cook for our busy Indian Cuisine in Auckland.

Work Experience: Minimum one year of relevant work experience  Pay: Minimum $24.00 and maximum $30.00  

Hours: Minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week  

Working hours will be from Monday to Sunday, and willing to work on public holidays

Job Description:  

• Expert in the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of food  

• Able to cook all authentic Indian curries and tandoori dishes  

• Portioning and adding dressings to ensure a great presentation of food

 • Cooking individual food orders as they are received  

• Checking the daily prep list  

• Assist the Chef in planning the menu, including the chef’s specials  

• Able to use temperature-controlled cooking equipment  

• Labelling and storing food in fridges  

• Ensuring food quality is maintained at all times  

• Preparing orders on time  

• Cleaning kitchen work stations before starting the shift  

• Ability to provide training to junior kitchen staff  

• Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen  

• Maintaining high standards of health and safety
