Position: Hairdresser & Beauty Therapist
Location: Auckland
Salary: $25 - $32 per hour
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
Availability: Must be available on weekends (Salon open 7 days, 10 am - 6 pm)
 
Om Holdings Limited is a well-established salon in Auckland looking to hire talented and dedicated Hairdressers and Beauty Therapists to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for providing high-quality services and enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients, we want to hear from you!
 
Hairdresser:
 
Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience OR New Zealand Register Level 4 qualification (or equivalent).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on hair care, products, and styling.
  • Shampoo, condition, and treat scalps.
  • Colour, straighten, and perm hair with chemical solutions.
  • Cut hair using scissors, clippers, and razors.
  • Style hair into dreadlocks, braids, and apply hair extensions.
  • Trim and shave beards and moustaches.
  • Clean work areas and sanitise instruments.
  • Arrange appointments and manage payments.
  • Clean, colour, cut, and style wigs and hairpieces.

Beauty Therapist:
 
Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience OR New Zealand Register Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Discuss client needs and analyze skin characteristics.
  • Advise on skincare treatments, makeup applications, and beauty products.
  • Apply general and corrective makeup.
  • Perform manicures, pedicures, nail art, and artificial nail applications.
  • Perform facial and body treatments such as massages.
  • Treat unwanted hair using waxing, bleaching, tinting, depilation, and electrolysis.
  • Maintain client records and manage bookings.
  • Provide product recommendations and sales support.
