Position Available: Heavy Vehicle Driver

Number of Positions Available: 3
Location: Auckland Region
Payrate: $32 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40

Key Requirements:

• Must have a Valid International Heavy Driving Licence Equivalent to New Zealand Driving Licence in Class 5 Or Have a Valid New Zealand Driving Licence  Class 5
• Or
• Must Have Qualifications in Any Industry Minimum Level 4 or above equivalent to New Zealand Qualifications Authority
• Or
• 2 years of Experience in Driving Heavy Vehicle or any form of Commercial Driving

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy vehicles on long-haul routes between Auckland, Tauranga, and Hamilton

• Ensure safe and timely transport of freight while complying with traffic and safety regulations

• Load and unload cargo while ensuring secure and damage-free delivery

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report maintenance issues

• Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation

• Communicate with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and route updates

• Follow company procedures for safety, delivery, and reporting

• Comply with all NZTA heavy transport laws, including load limits and rest breaks
