In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of inventory within our Auckland-based organization.
Your expertise in supply chain management and inventory control will directly contribute to the company’s ability to provide exceptional service to our clients while optimizing costs and maintaining regulatory compliance. As a key leader in our team, your insights and problem-solving skills will drive process improvements and operational excellence, making a lasting impact on the company’s growth and success.This is a permanent position offering a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week, with an hourly rate ranging from $24 to $24, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Tasks will include:
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
• Monitoring storage and distribution policies, procedures and IT tools and investigating, identifying and implementing required changes to continually improve performance and maintain minimum costs.
• The training of all staff in ensuring that all requirements are being met as expected and required in order to record accurate details relating to each and all stock/product items.
• Making sure logging of receivable details is maintained correctly and within the time requirements.
• The stock reports, daily and rolling, is fair and carried out at the times required, fully and accurately, and the reports are provided to both clients and where required to work with appointed auditors that the reports are accurate.
• Making sure all staff is trained to a full level of understanding of the operational requirements and policies, including the inventory program and the need for the maintenance of its requirements.
• Ensuring that the stock movement is fairly trailed in the processes and requirements needed by clients to show where the product that is received at Contract Warehousing Ltd is being sent to, where it is in stock within the warehouse. This includes the records that the batch number is recorded as well as a possible change in the unit of measure.
• To work and negotiate contracts with clients to maintain a joint understanding of all or any variation that may occur in any way from the expected shipment to the actual shipment as received at the time of delivery.
• To maintain communications with the CWL administrative team and advise them of any variation immediately any are known.
• Respond to any queries received both from clients and the CWL administrative team regarding any stock variations, discrepancies or damages.
• Work with the inward good manager as may be required in meeting the CWL inward KPIs.
• Attend management meetings as and when required to report on development, problems, suggested changes for improvements, or changes to the inventory program.
• Work with the program developer in implementing and testing any program changes if and when they occur. This may be in progress meeting discussions with the development process in the inventory section of the program. Suggesting that you may have as a result of testing the current development for errors/bugs, testing, or suggesting options for program improvement. Looking for missing information links.
• Ensure all daily instructions as to the priority requirements that must be met. Assist in setting the timetables as required and ensuring that deadlines are being met and maintained.
• Ensure that product and stock recording is maintained and up to date at all times.
• Ensure that documentation for the delivery is met as required and signed off at all stages of processing.
• Ensure when receiving and before signing for any delivery that the product is being delivered to the correct address and name of Contract Warehousing Ltd or a client.
• All inbound documentation must show who delivered/completed the stage of development of that consignment, what product was received on the inward manifest and the staff name noted as the person that has received the consignment.
• To ensure communication is made with those in other departments as well when needed.
To be successful in your application, you are required to have demonstrable experience as follows:
• Bachelors degree in a field related to Business or Supply & Distribution, or
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a Supply and Distribution Management
