Sharma Produce Limited is a New Zealand-based company and successfully running its operations for the past 14 years. your leadership and organisational skills in a thriving nursery environment in New Zealand. The job location will be in Pokeno, Waikato.

You will be receiving the wage rate between $30 to $38 depending upon your skills. Working hours will be minimum 30 to maximum 40 hours per week as per roaster.

 

Job Responsibilities

·        Develop and implement crop production plans for Cucumber.

·        Schedule planting in nursery, irrigation, fertilisation and processing activities.

·        Lead and supervise nursery and field staff

·        Train staff on safe and efficient farming practices and machinery operation.

·        Ensure equipment is operating efficiently and complies with safety standards.

·        Monitor budgets, cost control, and financial performance of operations.

·        Maintain records of crop yields, input usage, and workforce productivity.

·        Ensure all operations meet local environmental, health, and safety regulations.

·        Develop an effective internal and external network of communication techniques to maximize the output of information to allow better productivity of the business.

·        Providing strong leadership, mentoring and support to a large and diverse team.

  • Time to time meetings with other managers to collaborate on ideas to set plans in motion for the expansion of the business in general.

 

Job Requirements

·        A suitable candidate should have 2 years of relevant industry experience.

·        Punctual, reliable, and honest

·        Able to work shift rotations, weekends included.

·        Alert and safety conscious.

·        Excellent organisational and planning abilities

·        Strong leadership and team management skills

·        Proficient in record-keeping, scheduling, and reporting

·        Basic mechanical understanding of farm machinery and irrigation systems.
