Job Description
- inspecting equipment cleanliness and ensuring the workplace meets occupational health and safety standards before production begins.
- inspecting raw material quality and accurately weighing ingredients.
- kneading, mixing, shaping, maturing, cutting, moulding, and preparing dough and pastry items.
- making pastry fillings and preparing components for final products.
- monitoring oven settings and product appearance to control baking times and quality.
- supervising the entire baking process, including forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of bread, rolls, and pastries.
- glazing, icing, and decorating buns, cakes, and pastries with cream and other toppings.
- operating machinery for rolling, moulding dough, and cutting biscuits.
- cleaning, greasing, and maintaining baking trays, tins, and cooking equipment.
- preparing and baking a variety of bread, buns, cakes, biscuits, and pastry goods.
- performing other reasonable duties as required by the employer.
Position Details
- Location: Tauranga
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Pay Rate: $27.80–$35.00 per hour
- Days Required: Monday to Sunday, roster may apply
- Hours Per Week: Minimum 30 hours
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience or a NZQF level 4 qualification in a relevant field from New Zealand, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
