Head Barista

About The Role:

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is confident in both front-of-house service and behind-the-counter responsibilities. You’ll be involved in all aspects of café operations —from making exceptional coffee to managing stock and closing up at the end of the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages.
• Open the café and set up for daily service.
• Greet and serve customers with friendly, efficient service.
• Prepare and present cabinet food and menu items.
• Take and serve orders for food and beverages.
•  Conduct regular stock checks and manage stock rotation.
• Place orders for stock and supplies as needed.
•  Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all areas, including back, kitchen, and dining spaces.
•  Assist with end-of-day cleaning and closing procedures

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 2 year of experience as a barista in a busy café environment.
• Confident with coffee equipment, milk steaming, and latte art.
• Great communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and a team player.
•  Comfortable with opening and closing duties.
• Experience with stock management and ordering is a bonus.

Availability Requirements

• Must be available for early morning starts.
•  Flexibility to work late-night finishes on some days (Thursday and Friday mall nights).
• Weekend availability preferred
