Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fitter to join our growing team in the assembly and fitting of granny flats, cabins, and portable houses.

The ideal candidate must have the following:

At least 2 years of relevant experience in this industry or a level 4 or above relevant qualification.

Must be able to work on weekends and work overtime.

Must be flexible to meet the early morning and late-night shifts.

Ability work well and hard under pressure, independently and in a team.

Physically fit in any conditions - hot, cold, dusty, indoors or outdoors.

Long-term, full-time commitments needed.

Able to pass a police check and a drug test.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and fit structural and internal components of portable buildings, cabins, and granny flats according to technical drawings and specifications

Perform fitting, drilling, cutting, and mechanical installation tasks using appropriate hand and power tools

Install doors, windows, wall panels, insulation, roofing, plumbing fixtures, and basic electrical fittings (with licensed oversight if required)

Conduct quality checks and adjustments to ensure builds meet design and safety standards

Assist with transporting, lifting, and positioning modular components

Perform basic maintenance on equipment and tools

Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, and other team members to complete building projects on time

Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety standards
