Universal Marketing Co. Limited started the restaurant business in March 2003. Currently, we have ten branches around Auckland and Hamilton. Due to the business requirement, we are seeking four full-time cooks to join our team.

As a cook, you will be working minimum of 30 hours per week on a roster. 

Job Description:

  • Accommodating guests' special dietary requirements while maintaining high standards of food preparation and service quality.

  • Carrying out pre-cooking preparations, including calibrating and adjusting kitchen equipment temperatures as needed.

  • Enhancing dishes by applying appropriate seasonings and sauces during cooking, and ensuring proper plating upon completion.

  • Strictly complying with all health and safety regulations established by the restaurant and relevant regulatory bodies.

  • Assisting chefs with the training and development of kitchen staff and apprentices to uphold operational efficiency.

  • Ensuring proper food storage techniques are followed to minimize waste and prevent spoilage.

  • Undertaking any other tasks assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager to support smooth kitchen operations.

About you: 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstration of good character with no criminal record is essential.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience or Relevant NZQF level 4 or above qualification
