Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Chinese Herbalist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), particularly in the formulation and prescription of Chinese herbal remedies. You will assess patient conditions using TCM diagnostics and provide individualized herbal treatment plans that support healing and balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient consultations using TCM diagnostic methods (pulse, tongue, observation, inquiry).
  • Develop and prescribe custom Chinese herbal formulas tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust herbal treatments accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Educate patients on herbal remedies, usage, dosage, and possible interactions or side effects.
  • Work collaboratively with acupuncturists, massage therapists, and other healthcare practitioners.
  • Stay current with research and developments in Chinese herbal medicine and integrative healthcare.
  • Manage inventory and ensure the safe handling and storage of herbal materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Chinese Herbal Medicine
  • Deep understanding of Chinese medical and classical formulas.
  • Strong diagnostic and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse populations.
  • Commitment to ethical and safe herbal practice.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual (Mandarin or Cantonese and English).
  • Experience with herbal dispensary management or preparation.
  • Familiarity with Western herbalism or integrative medical approaches.
