FEW BEERS LIMITED is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team in Queenstown. This is a key leadership role where you’ll oversee not just daily restaurant operations but also play a crucial part in marketing, administration, and financial performance.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with ownership and take full responsibility for the venue’s front-of-house success and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily restaurant operations, including team leadership, guest service, bookings, and venue standards
• Take full responsibility for cash handling, daily takings, revenue tracking, POS reporting, and banking procedures
• Complete and manage financial records and reconciliations, and report directly to the business owner
• Handle staff scheduling, rostering, timesheets, and payroll support
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand food safety and liquor licensing regulations
• Maintain valid LCQ and Manager’s Certificate and ensure the venue operates under legal requirements at all times
• Oversee administrative duties including supplier management, inventory control, and reporting
• Drive promotions and customer engagement through marketing campaigns and content creation (social media, newsletters, etc.)
• Monitor online presence and reviews, ensuring a consistent and positive brand image
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a standard hospitality workplace
• Current LCQ (License Controller Qualification)
• Current Manager’s Certificate (or ability to obtain immediately)
• Proven experience with cash handling and financial reconciliation
• High level of administrative and organisational skills
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building abilities
• Passion for marketing and ability to create or manage engaging digital content
• Familiarity with POS systems, rostering tools, and hospitality software
• A hands-on, can-do attitude with a guest-first mindset
This is a full-time permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours/week.
