Newtech Homes is a premier design and build company based in Christchurch, delivering exceptional homes tailored to your vision. We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Carpenter to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

· Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine material requirements, dimensions, and installation procedures

· Identify required timber and materials and advise the procurement team for timely ordering

· Cut and shape materials, assemble, and securely fasten parts as needed

· Erect structural and roof framing, lay subflooring and floorboards, and ensure accuracy and alignment

· Install fascia boards, roof sheathing, external wall cladding, and door/window frames

· Assemble pre-cut or site-prepared timber into structures and fittings ready for installation

· Create precise wood joints to ensure durability and high-quality finishes

Skills and Requirements

· New Zealand Register Level 4 qualification in Carpentry, or

· At least 2 years of relevant work experience
