Job description

  • Apply massage techniques to soft tissues such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments to support the body's healing process.
  • Use various massage methods aimed at enhancing athletic performance and preventing injuries.
  • Deliver treatments that encourage relaxation, boost blood circulation, and ease muscular discomfort.
  • Evaluate and address specific soft tissue issues while offering guidance on rehabilitation strategies.
  • Incorporate additional therapeutic practices like acupressure or Shiatsu and utilize complementary tools such as infrared lamps, hot or cold compresses, essential oils, and herbal or mineral treatments to aid recovery.
  • Examine clients' physical conditions and medical histories to recommend appropriate stretching and relaxation exercises.
  • Provide therapeutic massages and body treatments to support relaxation, overall health, physical wellness, and recovery from injuries.
  • Carry out any other reasonable responsibilities as assigned by the employer.

  • Location: Wellington
  • Job type: Full-time
  • Pay rate: 25.00 – 40.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
  • Days required: Monday to Sunday, as per roster
  • Hours per week: At least 30

Job Requirement

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, or a relevant New Zealand diploma qualification, or an equivalent overseas qualification is required.
