Events Auckland Marquee &Party Hire based in Auckland is a fast-growing company in the marquee and event hire industry, providing high-quality equipment and services to our clients.
We're looking for a reliable and hard-working individual to join our team as an Event Organizer.


Job Summary:
We're seeking a versatile and mechanically-minded individual to work on a night shift and weekend schedule (Thursday - Monday).

This is a full-time permanent position with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to inquiries concerning services provided and hiring costs of Marquee and party equipment, catering and related services; meeting with clients to discuss their needs and outlining package options to meet these needs; arranging and coordinating services, negotiating the type and costs of services to be provided within budget; overseeing work by contractors and reporting on variations to work orders.as well as providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
 Respond to all function enquiries; meeting with the guests, understanding their desire, and tailoring an offer to meet their needs.
 Run the functions and events from beginning to end.
 Coordinate logistics for events, including setup and breakdown, hireage and collateral.
 Manage guest expectations to ensure the smooth running of every function.
 Manage the team to ensure all departments are fully informed and understand their roles and responsibilities.
 Ensure that all regulations and procedures are adhered to at all times.
 In addition, you will be required to handle our office admin work, such as answering email and phone enquiries, managing bookings and completing general office duties.

Requirements:
• Must be available to work night shifts (Thursday - Monday) including public Holidays.
• We need someone with either a minimum of Bachelor Degree equivalent to level 7 in any field or 3 years of working experience in a similar field.
• Ability to manage the team.
• Strong leadership skills with an ability to manage and motivate the team to achieve desired results.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Bonus knowledge of electrical systems certification and licenses would be an advantage as companies’ solar department is expanding, but this is not mandatory.
• NZ full driving License is must.
• Own transport required for coming to and from work.
• Reliable, punctual, and honest individual with a strong work ethic.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this position will be $38.00 per hour. This is a full-time permanent position with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
