Digger Operator

Position Available: Digger Operator

Number of Positions Available: 2
Location: Cambridge, Waikato Region
Payrate: $30 – $34 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience OR Level 4 or above relevant qualification. 

• Proficient in operating excavators in civil works, trenching, foundation preparation, and site development

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently to carry out earthworks, trenching, backfilling, and other civil construction tasks

• Read and interpret site plans, levels, and job specifications

• Conduct daily machinery checks and perform minor maintenance or report faults

• Work collaboratively with site supervisors and ground crew to complete jobs on time

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety standards

• Maintain accurate records of machine hours, fuel usage, and completed tasks

• Follow environmental, safety, and quality control procedures on all sites
