WPC is a leading waterproofing company based in Christchurch.  We are looking for driven, hard working individuals to join our team of experts.  We have a diverse client base that we provide a wide range of services to.  Your role would be based in Christchurch with opportunity to work in other areas of New Zealand from time to time.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for carrying out grouting, sealant application, tanking membrane installation, and crack injection work on construction sites in compliance with industry standards.

·         Project Work and Development; Repairs and Maintenance including:

o   Safely operating access equipment such as ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms.

o   Preparing roofing, concrete, and other surfaces for finishing work.

o   Using a variety of construction tools and materials as needed.

o   Reviewing drawings, specifications, and site conditions to determine required materials and methods.

o   Applying paints, coatings, and waterproof membranes in accordance with industry standards.

o   Installing finishing coats and membranes to ensure water-tight surfaces.

o   Accurately recording completed work for quality assurance and time tracking.

·         Provided skilled support on-site when required, ensuring that all tasks are performed in alignment with the company’s best interests.

·         Delivered client support, primarily involving fault diagnosis and remedial repairs across diverse scenarios.

·         Provided out-of-hours support as necessary, taking full responsibility for issues until resolved or appropriately escalated.

·         Demonstrated flexibility by supporting team members and undertaking tasks beyond core responsibilities to aid in the company’s growth and success.

 

Skills and experience required:

-          2 years relevant experience in construction

-          Be a driven individual, as well as a team player

-          Have a strong work ethic

-          Have a positive can-do attitude and go the extra mile

-          Be a keen learner and interested in developing your career in construction

-          Be a reliable and honest individual

-          Prior experience in the membrane roofing industry is ideal

-          Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
