RJS Construction Ltd is looking for full-time Carpenters to join the team in Auckland. Ideal candidates must have the followings:

•    NZQF Level 4 qualification, or at least two years of relevant experience in the same field or industry
•    Good eye for detail and an ability to learn fast
•    A "can-do" attitude
•    Reasonable level of fitness and willingness to work outdoors
•    Candidates need to be NZ citizen/residents

​Job Responsibilities:

  • Reading and interpreting plans and drawings and determining materials, dimensions and processes in accordance with an understanding of job sheets
  • Ordering and choosing materials for jobs based on calculation of drawings and specifications and completing blueprint and layouts
  • Operating tools to cut, measure and shape timbers and materials with minimum waste/damage, and assembling and nailing parts to match requirements.
  • Marking out and erecting timber framework for walls and roofs
  • Placing sub-flooring and floorboards following manufacturers and specifies guidelines, and examines structures
  • Fitting and assembling prepared materials to form and construct structures for installation
  • Installing fascia panels, doors, and window frames and fixing protective layers to the roofs and walls
  • Renovating and repairing structures and fittings
  • Interacting with customers and clients in a friendly and appropriate manner and directing enquires to the site manager
  • Any other duties the employer reasonably may require employee to perform
