Programmed is a leading provider of open space and full facility maintenance services. We are currently seeking a Qualified Track Maintenance to join our Waiheke Island team.

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Qualified Tracks Maintenance to help maintain over 90 tracks on beautiful Waiheke Island. This role involves:

·        Cutting grass

·        Refilling steps

·        Digging drainage

·        Removing fallen trees and debris

 

Your work will ensure our track spaces remain safe, tidy, and enjoyable for the public. You’ll also help protect native wildlife by identifying and reporting invasive plant species.

This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Hours are 7am to 3:00pm, finishing back at the yard. A full New Zealand driver’s licence or overseas equivalent with the ability to drive manual vehicles.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

·        1-2 years industry experience

·        Excellent communication skills

·        To reside on Waiheke Island to limit shift disruptions

·        A commitment to full-time work

·        Strong computer literacy

·        A full, clean NZ driver’s licence (or equivalent) (manual driving experience required)

·        The ability to work independently

·        Relevant Health and Safety Certificate

·        Physical stamina and agility

·        100% reliability

·        A passion for the native outdoors

·        Previous experience in a similar role (preferred)

·        Strong planning and time management skills

·        Solid knowledge of invasive plant species
