Job Summary

The Assistant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of restaurant, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, staff performance, and operational efficiency. This role is crucial to maintaining smooth restaurant operations and delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations, including front-of-house and
    coordination with kitchen staff.
  • Supervise and support staff, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and training
    new employees.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety
    regulations.
  • Handle customer service issues, manage bookings, and address complaints to ensure
    customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment.
  • Support in staff performance reviews and maintain records of training, incidents, and
    disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Help implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase customer
    engagement and revenue.
  • Open and close the restaurant, manage cash handling, and complete end-of-day
    reports when delegated.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

  • An AZQF Diploma or higher qualification
  • At least three years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Strong analytically and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
