We are 68 Lashes and Nails, and we believe that your beauty is both your pride and ours. We are seeking experienced Nail Technicians to join our team at our branches in Nelson and Richmond.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a wide range of nail services including nail art, manicures, pedicures, dipping powder, acrylic, and builder gel.

  • Apply nail enhancements such as acrylic, gel, and silk extensions, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal.

  • Perform decorative nail art and custom designs tailored to client preferences and occasions.

  • Conduct nail repairs and the safe removal of artificial enhancements.

  • Maintain strict hygiene standards for all tools, equipment, and workspaces.

  • Assess the condition of clients' nails, hands, and feet, and recommend appropriate treatments and products.

  • Stay up to date with the latest tools, trends, and techniques in the nail and beauty industry to continuously enhance service offerings.

  • Advise clients on post-treatment care and maintenance to support healthy nails and skin.

  • Manage client bookings, maintain accurate records, and assist with the sale of relevant nail and beauty products.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification (at NZ Register Certificate Level 4 or higher; overseas qualifications must be comparable to the New Zealand standard).

  • At least 1.5 years of proven experience as a professional nail technician.

  • Expertise in various techniques including dipping powder, acrylic, builder gel, and advanced nail art.

  • Strong creativity and attention to detail in nail design and finishing.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry innovations.

  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time, permanent position.

  • Wages range from $27 to $34 per hour, depending on your skills and experience. You will be paid weekly.

  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be provided in accordance with New Zealand employment law.

  • You will work across both Nelson and Richmond locations.

  • The role operates on a 5 to 6-day roster per week, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 48 hours per week.
