Sulin Professional Limited, located in vibrant Newmarket, Auckland, is a leading salon specialising in a wide range of high-quality hairdressing services. Our offerings include expert hair colouring techniques, a variety of perms, precision haircuts, and luxurious hair and scalp treatments tailored to each client’s needs.

We are currently seeking three passionate, energetic, and skilled hairdressers to join our team. Ideal candidates will be customer-focused and committed to delivering exceptional salon experiences in a fast-paced, professional environment. You will be expected to work at our Newmarket store, a minimum of 30 hours per week, and you may also be required to perform at the weekend as well. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $26-$32 based on the candidates' experience and skills.

Job Description for This Position

  • Offer personalised consultations and expert recommendations on hair care routines, beauty products, and hairstyle selections tailored to each client's needs and preferences.

  • Cleanse and nourish hair and scalps through professional shampooing, conditioning, and therapeutic scalp treatments designed to promote healthy hair and a soothing client experience.

  • Apply professional techniques for colouring, chemical straightening, and perming, ensuring safe and effective transformation using high-quality salon products.

  • Execute precision haircuts and creative styling using a variety of tools including scissors, razors, and clippers, with an emphasis on premium results and client satisfaction.

  • Design and craft customised hairstyles such as braids, dreadlocks, and extensions, aligned with individual aesthetic goals and trends.

  • Provide grooming services for male clients, including beard shaping, trimming, and moustache maintenance.

  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-organized workstation, following strict hygiene and safety standards.

  • Manage appointment bookings, deliver outstanding customer service, and handle transaction processes with professionalism and accuracy.

  • Restyle, colour, and care for wigs and hairpieces to meet client requests or display purposes.

  • Administer specialised head spa therapies, incorporating scalp massages and revitalizing treatments to promote relaxation and wellness.

Key Requirements for Successful Applicant

  • At least two years of relevant experience, or a level 4 or above certificate in hairdressing or similar.

  • Ability to work unsupervised and use your initiative.

  • Be focused on growing your clientele.

  • Be reliable and responsible.

  • Good customer service behavior and experience.
