Join Our Growing Drainage Team!
We are a well-established drainage company looking for a skilled and experienced excavator operator to join our crew for full-time (30 hours per week) work on residential and commercial projects.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
• Operating excavators to excavate, move, and place materials such as earth, rock, and gravel
• Operating machinery to dig trenches, foundations, and drainage systems
• Interpreting plans, job specifications, and site instructions
• Performing pre-start checks and basic daily maintenance on equipment
• Working safely around existing services (power, water, stormwater)
• Assisting with backfilling, grading, and site clean-up as required
• Coordinating with site supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth workflow
• Adhering to health and safety standards at all times
What You’ll Bring:
• Proven experience operating excavators in a civil or drainage environment
• Full Class 2 Driver's license (NZ or equivalent in any other country)
• WTR endorsement is preferred. We are happy to assist the right candidate in getting one.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans
• High level of physical fitness and reliability
• Commitment to working safely and efficiently as part of a team
