About the Role:
Huacheng NZ Recruitment Service Ltd is seeking two dedicated and experienced Plasterer to join our team. This role supports our commercial operations by delivering high-quality plastering services that enhance the structural integrity and visual appeal of our clients’ properties, ensuring all work meets professional and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tasks Include:

      • determining plasterboard layout, and installing insulation and vapour barriers
      • measuring, marking and cutting plasterboard, lifting and positioning panels, and securing them to walls, ceilings and battens
      • preparing corner beads and securing them in position
      • fixing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings
      • covering joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, and smoothing them using wet brushes and sand paper
      • mixing and applying coats of plaster, cement and render to structures using trowels, and levelling and smoothing coats to uniform thickness
      • plumbing and straightening corners, angles and wall and ceiling surfaces
      • creating decorative textures in finishing coats
      • applying and finishing acoustic, insulating and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement and similar materials
      • Applies and fixes plasterboard partitions, suspended ceilings, fire rating systems, acoustic tiles, and composite wall linings to buildings. 

Minimum Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • NZQF Level 4 qualification in horticulture or a related field, or at least two years of relevant experience 

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong time management.

  • A proactive, hardworking attitude with the ability to handle physically demanding work.

  • Customer-focused, friendly, and professional.

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.

Working Conditions:
The role may involve working in outdoor environments that require physical stamina and comfort with getting hands-on, especially in less tidy areas. We are looking for candidates who are not afraid to get their hands dirty and who take pride in their work.
