We are an Auckland-based construction company and need to recruit 3 plasterer assistants for relevant construction and renovation work on the projects in the Auckland region. Please note that this is a permanent full-time role and you will need to work from Mon to Sat (35 - 50 hours per week). 

This role involves physically demanding work, including mixing materials, preparing surfaces, and cleaning up. It's a good entry-level position to gain experience and potentially progress to a qualified plasterer role

What you’ll do

  • Assisting with material preparation:
    Mixing plaster, sand, and other materials according to the plasterer's instructions.
  • Surface preparation:
    Cleaning, prepping, and sometimes erecting scaffolding (if it's below a certain height).
  • Cleaning and tidying:
    Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including removing debris and waste.
  • Manual labor:
    Carrying materials, tools, and equipment, as well as assisting with the application of plaster (depending on the assistant's experience)
     
    Any other reasonable task required by the site manager

What you’ll bring

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant Hands-on work experience
  • Basic plastering and polishing skills are a bonus.
  • Willingness to learn – on-the-job training provided where needed
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
