We are hiring for Aurian Windows and Doors Ltd, a specialist manufacturer and installer of high-quality aluminium window and door systems. Based in Auckland, we serve both residential and commercial construction projects. To support our growing production team, we are now seeking skilled Metal Fabricators to join our workshop and assembly facility.

Job Location:                        Auckland

Number of people need:  5

Employment Type:               Full-time, Permanent

Days Required:                     Needs to be available from Monday to Saturday, between 7:30am to 6:30 pm

                                               May need to work during weekends or public holidays; 

Hourly Rate:                          $28 - $35

Hours per Week:                   Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week. Up to 50 hours per week.

 

Key Responsibilities include:   

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications for the fabrication of window and door components
• Measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembling aluminium and other metal sections using hand tools and power tools
• Operating machines and equipment for shaping, bending, and welding metal parts
• Assembling frames, panels, and accessories according to precise dimensions and tolerances
• Conducting quality control checks to ensure accuracy, strength, and finish
• Carrying out surface treatments such as sanding and grinding as required
• Working with the installation team to ensure fabricated products meet site installation requirements
• Following health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean, organised workshop environment

 

Requirements for the applicants:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in metal fabrication, aluminium joinery, or window/door manufacturing
• OR completion of a recognised metal fabrication or welding-related qualification/apprenticeship
• Skilled in reading fabrication drawings and operating fabrication equipment
• Ability to use cutting saws, punch tools, grinders, drills, and MIG/TIG welding equipment
• Attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling metal frames and materials
• A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred
• Ability to attend an onsite interview is an advantage
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
