Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes, including our signature broths and following traditional recipes and standards.

• Supervise and assist kitchen staff in ingredient preparation, ensuring consistency and quality.

• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicers efficiently and safely.

• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area.

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management for replenishment needs.

• Collaborate with the team to meet daily production targets and ensure timely service.

🎓 Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the food industry.

• A relevant Level 4 qualification in cookery may substitute for the experience requirement.

• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices in New Zealand.

• Ability to follow recipes and cooking procedures accurately.

• Physically fit to handle standing for extended periods

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
