The Opportunity:
They are expanding their business in the Wellington region, focusing on their recycling business, so are looking for a motivated hunter – someone who thrives on winning new business and creating new opportunities.

This role will be a split of new business and account management. (70% / 30%). The primary focus will be driving growth and securing new accounts.  This means that you will need to get out of the office and talk to business customers in your territory……lots of them!

You will need to be comfortable talking to business owners and to C-Suite Managers. And across all different industries! You must be confident and willing to open doors, talk to decision makers and create opportunities.

Target clients will primarily be larger businesses, including big box retail stores, distribution companies, manufacturing companies.... any company that has a need for recycling solutions.

You will wear both your ' Hunter' and 'Farmer' hats, where you will actively build partnerships with both new and existing businesses, ensuring that they are receiving the most appropriate, value-add, cost effective, solutions that suit their business needs.

 

Skills, Experience and Attributes required:

  •  Enthusiastic salespeople with upbeat, likeable personalities.

  •  Hunter Mentality! Must be entirely confident in new business activities (cold calling through to sales close)

  • Account Management experience. Able to build on existing customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.

  • A strong capability in sales process, organisation and planning

  • Demonstrates the attributes of drive, adaptability, is a strong presenter, communicator, and listener.

  • Will actively pipeline customers who show interest but are on contracts, to revisit in the future.

  • Experience managing relationships across a business, through to C-Suite.

  • A down to earth, roll up your sleeves attitude.

  • Highly motivated.

This role will be best suited to those candidates who want to be client facing and will deliver results from being active in the market (not sitting in the office).

 

The Rewards: 

  • A base salary of $80K + uncapped commission OTE $130K + Completely uncapped so you could earn much more than this.
